Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Burlington, ON
Hours: Monday to Friday, OT for shutdowns/emergencies
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 annually
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hire
We are hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor for our client in Burlington. This client sources and processes aggregates for their production facility in Burlington. Successful candidates will have recent and long-term experience in a similar Maintenance Supervisor role and an eager attitude for continuous improvement. Our client is looking for candidates who can interview and start working as soon as possible!
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and schedule maintenance technicians; manage performance, attendance, and skill development.
- Enforce safety standards and LOTO procedures; lead safety talks, review near-misses, and implement corrective actions
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics/hydraulics, bearings, alignment, and rigging.
- Provide first-line support for PLC-controlled equipment (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens): interpret schematics, trace PLC logic, monitor I/O, and collaborate with controls specialists.
- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Own and maintain the MaintainX CMMS, including asset structures, PM schedules, spare parts management, and accurate work order documentation
- Create and update standard work, job plans, equipment documentation, and change logs
- Manage contractors for specialized repairs, installations, and shutdown activities.
- Improve equipment performance metrics such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, and backlog control.
- Drive 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and production.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements for Candidates:
- Diploma/Apprenticeship or Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Maintenance, Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years hands-on industrial maintenance experience with strong mechanical focus
- Minimum 2 years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- CMMS (MaintainX) and Electrical/Controls proficiency
- Preferred Certifications
- Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Certification.
- Electrical safety/arc-flash, LOTO trainer, forklift/aerial lift, rigging.
- Rockwell/Siemens PLC or HMI training; VFD commissioning.
- Willing to complete skill testing as required
- Willing to provide a criminal record search
