Job Title: Quality Supervisor
Location: Burlington, ON
Hours: Shift work aligned with production schedules
Salary: $75,000-$80,000 annually
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hire
We are hiring for a Quality Supervisor for our client in Burlington. This client sources and processes aggregates for their production facility in Burlington. Successful candidates will have recent and long-term experience in a similar production supervisor role, efficiently organizing employees and meeting production targets. Our client is looking for candidates who can interview and start working as soon as possible!
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee quality control for incoming materials, production, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, SOPs, customer requirements, and regulations.
- Act as primary contact for SMETA and customer audits, including preparation, corrective actions, and follow-up.
- Manage documentation for ethical sourcing, social compliance, and customer programs.
- Conduct plant inspections and audits; maintain accurate quality records and test documentation.
- Validate new materials, process changes, and product enhancements before full rollout.
- Oversee product testing (e.g., absorbency, clumping, dust, odor control).
- Lead, train, and mentor Quality Technicians and inspectors.
- Coordinate staffing to meet production needs across shifts.
- Partner with Production to reduce defects and improve consistency.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Lead EHS initiatives, Ontario health and safety compliance, inspections, investigations, and JHSC activities.
- Support new product launches and trial runs from a quality standpoint.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements for Candidates:
- Diploma or degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years in a similar quality supervisor role required
- JHSC certification is an asset
- Experience working with EHS teams and supporting safety programs is preferred
- Experience in consumer goods, pet products, chemicals, minerals, or bulk manufacturing is an asset
- Excellent English communication/writing and problem-solving skills required
- Experience supporting SMETA audits, social compliance programs, or customer audits preferred
- Availability for shift work aligned with production schedules
- Willing to complete skill testing as required
- Willing to provide a criminal record search
