Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring a, Summer Student for the May to August 2026 Term with our Commercial Services team.

During your time with us, you will gain exposure to what it's like to be part of the Emera Energy Commercial Services Team by supporting our Natural Gas trading operations through entering and validating key trading data, navigating multiple pipeline platforms and databases, and monitoring rate movements to help the team achieve its commercial objectives.

What you'll do:

We'll treat you as one of our own and your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Monitoring of pipeline notifications and rate changes
  • Prepare and review pipeline rates, for data entry and circulation
  • Prepare and review summary data information of pipelines and customer data (used for invoicing)
  • Assist in processing documentation and automation

By the end of the work-term, you will:

  • Have a base understanding of the natural gas trading industry, and specifically pipeline tariffs. Building a stronger internal customer service and excel skills.

Who you are:

Working as a valued part of our team, you will bring:

  • 2+ years enrolled in a program of study focused on Business/IT/Analytics or Finance;
  • Has an interest in learning more about and/or pursuing a career in Commercial Services;
  • Customer service experience;
  • Excel knowledge;
  • Data entry, with strong attention to detail.
