The Director, Loyalty Partnerships is responsible for building and maintaining strong relations with Scotiabank's loyalty partners, driving meaningful value for Scotia clients and converting our partners' customer base into new Scotia relationships & clients. Acting as the senior commercialization lead of their assigned partner, the Director will shape go-to-market strategies, guide product integration, and manage partner relationships to deliver measurable growth for our partners and the Bank.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Commercialization & Client Growth: Lead the go-to-market launch of partner's offering across Scotiabank's products, designing compelling value propositions that deepen engagement with Scotia clients and attract Partner's customers into the Bank.
- Partnership Management: Act as the primary senior contact with the partner, overseeing joint planning, governance, and performance while ensuring alignment with Scotiabank's strategic and financial objectives.
- Product Stewardship: Guide the end-to-end integration of the partner into Scotia offerings, partnering with loyalty operations and technology teams to ensure seamless execution
- Performance & Growth: Monitor impact metrics (client acquisition, engagement, loyalty, and financial contribution), recommending optimizations and new opportunities to scale value.
- Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop the Senior Manager, Loyalty Partnerships, while mobilizing cross-functional partners across Loyalty Acquisition, Loyalty Engagement, Financial Analytics & Liability management, Product BLs, and external stakeholders/partner counterparts.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
- Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree is highly preferred, especially with a focus on strategy, marketing, or finance.
- 7+ years of experience in consulting, finance, loyalty programs, or strategic partnerships.
- Proven track record in:
- Commercialization and go-to-market strategy development
- Product integration and cross-functional leadership
- Managing strategic partnerships, ideally in financial services or customer loyalty ecosystems
- Strong background in:
- Financial planning and analysis
- Rewards program management
- Customer acquisition and engagement strategies
- Experience navigating complex accounting structures related to loyalty provisioning and rewards

Working Conditions
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Travel may be required.
