Bilingual Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist

What is the opportunity?

In this role you will be responsible for applying appropriate vocational and rehabilitation expertise to support the adjudication of multiple lines of business and deliver superior client experience in a team-oriented, multi-disciplinary environment. You will act as a subject matter expert on vocational rehabilitation services across Life & Health Claims as well as participating in projects and initiatives.

What will you do?

• Manage a rehabilitation caseload for Life & Health Claims by effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.

•Responsible for researching, planning, developing, implementing and monitoring vocational rehabilitation to facilitate risk management and return to work for disability claims

•Responsible for completing thorough and objective assessments, for accurately documenting the information and for delivering quality, cost effective rehabilitation work product within the established service standards

•Conduct necessary due diligence on prospective rehabilitation service providers (adjudicators, doctors, rehab specialists) and build key relationships with vendors in the industry

•Ensure effective vendors utilization to maintain cost effectiveness and appropriate risk management activities and ensuring they comply with the contract guidelines

•Given the very sensitive nature of the information gathered in the adjudication process, extreme care must be exercised in the handling of a claim to guard against any breach of confidentiality

What will you need to succeed?

Must have

•Post secondary education

•5 years' experience of current, proven clinical experience, in occupational health, rehabilitation or case management, industrial disability management, worker's compensation, psychiatric, cardiac, emergency care or orthopedic nursing

•Strong analytical and decision-making skills

•Proficiency in MS Office and ability to navigate or learn other technology platforms

•Must be fluently bilingual in both French and English with excellent oral and written communication skills

•Teamwork, including well developed collaborative and persuasive skills

•Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with customers in a manner that is professional with a high degree of customer service

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00
