Job Summary
Reporting to the Zone Director of Medical Imaging, the Zonal Manager provides leadership, vision, and administrative oversight for Medical Imaging services within the assigned zone. The Zonal Manager is accountable for financial and human resource management, including budgeting, workforce planning, professional development, and performance management, as well as operational oversight of Medical Imaging services at designated primary and secondary sites. The role provides clinical supervision and operational support to program staff.
The Zonal Manager provides leadership in equipment planning and purchases, risk management, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives. The Manager ensures that policies, protocols, and standards are in place to support evidence-informed practice and monitors wait times, implementing strategies to ensure timely access to Medical Imaging services.
In addition to zonal responsibilities, the Zonal Manager serves as a provincial leader as part of the provincial Medical Imaging management team. In this role, the Manager acts as the lead for an assigned provincial portfolio, chairs or participates in provincial committees or working groups, and leads the development and standardization of provincial practices in collaboration with clinical leadership, management, and staff across Newfoundland and Labrador.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to person- and family-centered care and to patient and worker safety and will support continuous quality improvement. The Zonal Manager is expected to demonstrate the behaviors, abilities, and leadership competencies outlined in the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.

Job Qualifications


Education
? Graduation from a recognized program in:
o Medical Radiation Technology,
o Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or
o Nursing, with demonstrated experience in a Medical Imaging environment.
? Current registration and licensure in good standing with the applicable professional regulatory body.
? For Diagnostic Medical Sonography candidates, current membership with Sonography Canada is required.
? Bachelor?s degree in technology, business, a health-related discipline, or a related field is required.
? Education and/or certification in Project Management is considered an asset.

Experience
? A minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) years working in a multi-disciplinary Medical Imaging department is required.
? Leadership or management experience in a healthcare environment is considered an asset.
? An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

? Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and effective resource stewardship.
