What you will do
As a Construction Worker, you will work under the direction of the Technical Supervisor and be responsible for:
- assisting the Technical Supervisor by carrying out basic survey tasks such as re-establishing centerline alignments, resetting grades, cross sectioning work areas;
- assisting the Technical Supervisor in quantity calculations, set up and operations of a Total Station Instrument;
- co-ordinate, provide instruction to employees on the job, as required;
- assisting in taking samples and performing concrete testing.
Work environment:
- Office location: 46 Toombs Street, Moncton.
- 40-hour work week, with variable hours, including, evenings and weekends, when required.
- Working on job sites in all weather conditions, exposure to dust and fumes.
- Ability to lift and carry survey equipment and walking over uneven or sloping terrain.
- Able to work at heights and around bridges.
- Some travel within the region will be required.

Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of six (6) years related work experience.

Possession the valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick .
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate training in survey equipment to include Total Station.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.

SALARY: $30.44 per hour, based on a 40 hour week.
