Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will play a key role in delivering CAA Atlantic's Member First philosophy by providing exceptional service and expert guidance to our Members. In this member-facing role, you will develop a strong understanding of our full range of products and services-including memberships, travel options, and insurance offerings-so you can confidently identify and recommend the right solutions for each Member's unique needs. Your approach will combine professionalism, enthusiasm, and the ability to turn each interaction into a positive and memorable experience that reflects the trusted CAA Atlantic brand.
On a daily basis, you will provide in-person and over-the-phone assistance to Members and customers, processing payments, updating account details, and supporting membership sales and renewals. You'll also assist with services such as issuing International Driving Permits, taking passport photos, and ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently. Every interaction will require attention to detail, strong product knowledge, and the ability to navigate a range of inquiries with patience and empathy.
Your expertise will also extend to helping Members plan their travels and road trips across North America. This includes taking customized orders for trip routes, providing tour books and maps, and facilitating bookings for car rentals, hotel reservations, and travel medical insurance. You'll act as a trusted advisor, ensuring that each travel experience is seamless, well-informed, and tailored to the Member's preferences. This part of the role highlights your ability to blend customer service with sales, using your knowledge and proactive attitude to achieve and exceed sales targets while building lasting relationships.
Finally, as part of a supportive team environment, you'll work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery and smooth branch operations. You'll use your interpersonal skills to handle challenging situations with professionalism, maintaining CAA Atlantic's reputation for reliability and care. Whether assisting a Member with a quick renewal, helping plan a family road trip, or offering guidance on travel medical insurance and memberships, your contributions will directly enhance the Member experience and the success of the Halifax Branch. This is a full time Monday to Friday (9:00AM - 5:30PM) position, with the requirement to work four hours every third Saturday.
This is a salaried position with opportunity to earn commission for the sale of certain CAA Atlantic products and services.
- Provide signature experience customer service to our members and customers
- Identify and recommend the right product to members and customers you serve
- Contribute to a team-based environment
- Navigate challenging situations with patience and grace at the forefront
- Facilitate bookings for car rentals, hotel reservations and travel medical insurance
- Achieve sales targets
- Membership sales, enhancements and changes to their membership account details
- Take passport photos
- Process International Driving Permits
- Take customized orders and provide tour books and route maps
- Other duties as required
- You possess a high school diploma and preferably have some post-secondary education
- You are savvy with computer software and can pick up new skills quickly
- You have enjoyed your experience working with the public.
- You are motivated to sell
- You know your way around a map and can identify many major US and Canadian cities
- Most of all you have an awesome attitude and desire to help people.
- You can work 4 hours every third Saturday
- Bilingualism considered an asset
