Manager, Planning and Performance Management - Client Value and Primacy (Toronto, ON)
Contributes to the overall success of Retail Client Value and Primacy through reporting & planning, forecasting, initiative assessment, and delivery of key insights. Ensure delivery of key Client, Product, Channel, and profitability objectives for the Canadian Retail Bank.
Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Champions a client-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Manage Client Value and Primary (CVP) portfolio program reporting and facilitate creation of dashboards, insights, and narratives for partners, management team, and executives;
- Build and deliver reporting on key KPIs for our product partners, including core metrics (unit sales by product, channel) as well as supplementary KPIs based on the business line or initiative being measured.
- Enhance our product-level reporting and work with partners to better align product-level insights with channel and product views of the data.
- Develop presentations and supporting narratives for partners, management team, and executives intended to support strategic decision-making.
- Forecast and plan New Accounts Acquired with finance, business line partners, and retail client growth partners. Incorporate initiatives and external market factors into our modeling and track success against forecasts.
- Lead meetings to present results and insights with product teams, CVP partners and finance stakeholder.
- Support managing department budget, annual planning process, and ongoing intake prioritization to establish a portfolio of activities designed to exceed business objectives in the most efficient/effective manner.
- Partner with Analytics to effectively maintain and manage requests on behalf of the team.
- Maintain calendar of all key initiatives planned/launched and identifying portfolio level risks and cross-portfolio dependencies, including related to lead management and client contacts.
- Support the annual budget process and strategic investment business casing in partnership with the product, CVP, and Finance teams.
- Support CVP Portfolio Managers in Business Unit Reviews and as required, lead Partner presentations related to planning and program performance.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Analytics, Mathematics (or other similar field)
- Expert knowledge in Excel, with experience in report/model creation and presentations
- Experience with data capture and manipulation tools (SAS, SQL, etc.)
- Experience with modern visualization tools (PowerBI or Tableau, etc.)
- Strong strategic thinking and results focus skills
- Thorough knowledge of the Canadian banking, including channels, products, client, and the competitive landscape
- Strong facilitator, with the ability to lead a team of senior contributors to overall objectives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- This role is located in our downtown Toronto, ON office location. Non-standard hours may be required to meet business objectives.
