As the Manager, Analytics & MIS, you will support the Senior Manager & Team Lead and the overall Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) team by providing timely, relevant and accurate insights to assist in decision-making in managing the performance for the RESL portfolio. This includes detailed portfolio analysis and reporting using a wide range of data sources and analytic tools to support critical business initiatives.
You will work closely with the product and program design team by providing timely, relevant and accurate analysis of campaigns and programs to support strategic and tactical decision-making. You will also assist the Senior Manager and Team Lead with planning, forecasting, ad hoc request, industry research, reporting and strategic projects as they arise.
You are responsible for detailed reporting specifically as it relates to key RESL campaigns, business and customer metrics. Including collaborating with the Sr. Manager MIS & Reporting for developing business user requirements and business acceptance testing for production reports and envisioning and developing future MIS needs to ensure the ongoing quality and relevance of data and meet current and future information needs.
You are also responsible for analyzing statistics and evaluating the impacts that various processes have on the secured portfolio and customer behaviors.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Manage RESL data analysis requests, involves gathering of business requirements from stakeholders, determine/validate data sources, produce reports and ad-hoc analysis, confirm findings and present results to key stakeholders, while meeting expectations and timelines.
- Developing new and enhancements to automate reports to meet campaign, channel and management needs as they relate to the campaigns, business and customer centric metrics.
- Ensure integrity of data used for analysis, reconciling data sources and developing quality checks as part of the analysis development process.
- Work with Google cloud based analysis & reporting and operationalize SQL/SAS code in Biq Query and Hadoop to gather and summarize data.
- Become part of a high-performance team that utilizes advanced and innovative analytical and presentation tools to identify and monitor portfolio/pipeline quality, customer behaviors, patterns, trends and relationships among large datasets to proactively present value-added insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate and provide support on the group's annual planning process, work on subsequent re-forecasts and relative financial reporting on the portfolio and ad-hoc stress testing initiatives as required.
- Be familiar with reporting definitions between data sources to be best positioned to understand reporting variability. Addressing data anomalies and creating resolutions to correct where necessary.
- Provide adequate back-up for all team members as required.
- Able to interpret data and present analysis in a concise and consistent manner.
- Develop a customer focused culture to deepen inter-departmental relations and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Work closely with IT, database managers and data developers to test new fields, connections, tables and platforms as they pertain to the RESL systems and databases.
- Aid in providing support for time sensitive ad-hoc information requests, understanding the purpose and/or audience to be best positioned to provide the right solution every time.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 3+ years analytical experience required including statistical analysis
- Effective communicator with strong organizational skills
- Customer focused and results-oriented
- Must be proficient in the use of MS Office, SAS, SQL, VBA, Python, Big Query, Hadoop and Cloud computing reporting tools
- Familiar with Big Data, visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and open-source programming R, Python, Spark
- Strong prioritizing, analytical, presentation, project management and planning skills
- 3+ years experience in mortgages, secured or unsecured lending.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics
- Post Graduate degree in STEM – preferred
