Job Title: General Labour/Driver Helper

Job Type: Short-term/casual
Location: Napanee, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday, early morning start, shift could be 8-12 hours depending on route
Wage: $20.00 per hour

This role will support local waste collection routes and work alongside a D-class driver, assisting with residential waste pickup, and ensuring a safe and positive experience for residents. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and consistently lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with picking up and loading household garbage in the Napanee and surrounding areas
• Loading/unloading trucks with waste bags.
• Work with a driver on a rear-loader truck during residential waste collection
• Lift and handle waste bags and materials throughout the shift
• Maintain clear communication with the driver
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Stay alert and aware of surroundings to ensure safety at all times

Qualifications:

• Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to good attendance
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• CSA-approved work boots are required
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

Work Conditions:

Mustt wear comfortable clothing coordinating with outside weather conditions.
