The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Services to join our Copper Cliff North Mine team in Sudbury, Ontario.
This is a permanent on-site position. The work schedule is Monday to Friday - dayshifts. This posting is for an existing position vacancy.
The Supervisor, Services is responsible for managing the social, commercial, and technical processes of a frontline team to achieve maintenance and production goals in a safe, reliable, efficient, and high?quality manner. They ensure processes remain within established limits, identify special?cause variances, and take action to resolve issues or capitalize on opportunities. The role is accountable for maintaining control of the work area and ensuring that all direct reports meet requirements related to legislated regulations, company policies, and collective agreements.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Manage frontline systems to achieve Zero Harm, meet/exceed production quality and quantity targets, and deliver on cost and capital expenditure goals.
- Communicate and address risk management issues during line?ups and field discussions, follow incident?notification protocols, and initiate on?shift investigations.
- Lead Safe Production by coaching ALARA behaviors, enforcing compliance with safety plans, procedures, MOC requirements, and addressing non?compliance when needed.
- Improve team performance by assigning CPQQRT?based tasks, resolving process and social issues, completing improvement projects, and correcting/escalating special?cause variances.
- Plan, schedule, and execute work using Work Management practices; monitor shift progress, complete reports and work orders, and communicate status to the next shift.
- Manage resources by controlling inventory, ordering materials, distributing overtime within CBA/provincial rules, maintaining crew qualifications, and scheduling required training.
- Provide leadership through coaching, discipline, grievance management, approving time, giving performance feedback, supporting return?to?work cases, and contributing to succession planning.
- Collaborate with peers and other departments on production, maintenance, and capital schedules, continue developing technical and interpersonal skills, and manage off?shift plant activities when on call.

About You
Education:
- Grade 12 completed or GED equivalency with equivalent experience is required.
- College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Generic Supervisor Common Core (770141), First Line Underground Mine Supervisor Common Core (770121), or Common Core for First Line Production Supervisor Underground Hard Rock Mining (770120) is an asset.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related filed.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Products, SAP, and Prometheus add-on.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising and leading teams with best work practices.
- Experience in a mining plant or heavy industry is an asset.
Skills:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
- Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
