Minto Place is a multi-building commercial complex in the heart of downtown Ottawa. While the complex stretches across several addresses (including 344 Slater, 180 Kent, and 427 Laurier), 355 Slater Street serves as one of its key access points and home to several services — most notably the Minto Place R.O. post office.

Hours:| 0700-1900 -1900-0700 - Continental (Monday to Sunday)
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Payrate:| $26.30/hour

Job Description:

• Liaison between the client and Paladin Security Management
• High Customer Service
• Review guard incident reports
• Oversee the security team
• Fire extinguisher testing
• Oversee and participate in live exercises
• Responding to assistance requests from the Clients and Retail Clients
• Ensure the safety and Security of the General Public on the property
• Assist General Public with Directions within the building
• Signing in and out Contractors
• Assisting the Public with information inquiries
• Cross training on all roles (Patroller, Operator, etc.)
• • Experience in CCTV monitoring, alarm monitoring, fire panels/systems is considered an asset
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Bilingual (French-English)
• Strong leadership skills
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid/CPR - Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Minimum 3 years security experience required, or 2 years of demonstrated Security Supervision experience
• Demonstrates superior customer service skills and able to work independently
• Minimum of a High School Diploma
• College diplomat considered an asset
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
• Able to complete ongoing training as directed by the Client Service Manager
• Certificate in Management of Aggressive Behavior and/or Use of Force is considered an asset
• Must be able to obtain reliability clarence
