The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Applications Supervisor, the Applications Clerk provides support to the supervisor and staff of the department as well as services to callers and visitors to the Metropolitan District.
• Process online applications for eligibility.
• Complete service tickets.
• Respond to or redirect all general incoming calls/emails to the Applications Department.
• Provide applicants with wait list information; maintain cancelled application files.
• Maintain electronic and paper records/files related to applications and transfers.
• Keep accurate records of phone calls, mail, confirmations, etc., for files as received.
• Maintain a registry of Priority Access files.
• Provide backup for Switchboard/Receptionist duties as required.
• Other assigned duties.
Must Have
• Business Administration or Secretarial diploma program, plus two years' related experience.
• Computer skills and competency in desktop software including Microsoft Office with strong keyboarding skills.
• Excellent knowledge of office procedures and practices to maintain accurate and secure files, track, and follow-up information/report requests.
• Interpersonal skills to deal with co-workers, tenants, contractors and vendors, other departments, and the public in a positive, tactful, courteous, and cooperative manner.
• Ability to exercise tact, discretion, sound judgment and initiative when investigating, questioning, and dealing with inquiries, requests and submissions that are sensitive and confidential in nature.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Yardi Property Management and Rent Café software.
- Multilingual; fluent in English and Arabic.
