Service New Brunswick is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a current opportunity within the Health Services division under the Supply Chain Branch as a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the successful candidate will be responsible to lead the execution of the group purchasing plan that delivers product and equipment standardization to the Regional Health Authorities of New Brunswick and Service New Brunswick.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide clear leadership, direction, and support to the GPO team to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Foster a friendly, cooperative, and team-based work environment that values respect, collaboration, and shared success.
- Ensure timely delegation of tasks based on team member expertise, workload, and initiative complexity.
- Support professional development and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, stakeholder engagement, and value realization.
- Recruit, mentor, train, and manage staff, providing ongoing performance evaluations
Stakeholder & GPO Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between Service New Brunswick, the Regional Health Authorities, and our third-party group purchasing organization(s).
- Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and procurement stakeholders to facilitate the selection of acceptable supplies and equipment.
- Engage GPOs to escalate issues, resolve concerns, and clarify processes when required.
- Attend monthly GPO committee meetings to remain informed on current initiatives, upcoming opportunities, and relevant procurement updates.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, translating complex procurement and financial information and scorecards into clear, actionable insights.
- Ensure client concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner, with clear follow-up and resolution.
- Facilitate meetings with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on procurement initiatives and outcomes.
Procurement Oversight & Governance
- Oversee the end-to-end RFx process, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and governance requirements are met to ensure adherence to applicable procurement laws.
- Support stakeholders in understanding each phase of the RFx process, including evaluation methodology and decision-making frameworks.
- Ensure procurement decisions are supported by clear, accurate, and transparent financial and performance data.
- Promote and support standardization of supplies and equipment across New Brunswick hospitals where clinically and operationally appropriate.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in Business Administration with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Subject to the response of the competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- In-Depth knowledge and practical work experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:
- Procurement experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Group purchasing experience in a complex, multi-site, healthcare environment.
- Project Management experience.
- Facilitation, negotiation, conflict management, financial and problem-solving experience.
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience in data analytics.
- Knowledge of Applicable Legislation, including the New Brunswick Procurement Act

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:
- This position may require some travelling within the province therefore candidates must possess a valid New Brunswick driver's license.
- Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
