Together, we know we need to reach our climate goals while doing what's best for Nova Scotians -- balancing costs and ensuring that as your electricity gets greener, it stays reliable, too. The Eastern Clean Energy team plays a pivotal role in getting us there.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Eastern Clean Energy Initiative Team. Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, the Project Coordinator will support effective communication with key project stakeholders, ensuring proper documentation is created and maintained, creating requisitions and purchase orders, processing invoices, following organization governance and administration of the project management software.
Note: this is a term position with an expected end date of December 2028.
Key elements of this role include:
- Supports various functions of the project controls team such as cost coordination and control, and document control.
- Input and preparation of key metrics/reports for project performance.
- Entry of purchase requisitions with all supporting information, associated changes to purchase orders and invoice attestation and receiving in Oracle and PMWeb Project Management Software.
- Setup of vendors in financial and cost systems, as well as assist vendors with invoicing procedure.
- Reconciliation of cost information between Oracle and PMWeb monthly and ongoing workflow maintenance.
- Coordination of month end accruals with the project Cost Specialist.
- Supports alignment with corporate/regulatory compliance and governance.
- Arranges meetings with user groups and manages logistics for project related activities.
- Document meeting minutes and produce action plans and follow-up on action items.
- Shared maintenance of a project SharePoint site to manage critical project purchasing and invoice documentation and workflow processes.
- Maintaining project procedures for activity tracking, managing the procedure, and tracking deliverable status.

Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in business administration.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant field.
- Project management certification is considered an asset.
Technical/Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of project management principles and processes.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge and skill in project control software applications and MS Office suite.
- Experience with Sharepoint, Oracle or PMWeb project management software is an asset.
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in managing large volumes of documentation.
- Ability to work independently to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
