Position: SERVICE AND Asset MANAGEMENT (SAM) Planner
DEPARTMENT: operations
Classification: BAND 8 ($41.39 - $44.91 PER HOUR)
DUTIES:
Reporting to the Manager, Facility Services the SAM Planner will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Maximo computerized Maintenance Planning System at HIAA. This position will provide support through planning, training, coordinating, and executing efficient and economical maintenance activities. The SAM Process Planner is responsible for establishing, communicating, and monitoring both short- and long-range plans and schedules for the maintenance of all HIAA equipment and facilities. The SAM Planner will work closely with the Procurement Department, Planning & Infrastructure, Frontline Staff, Maintenance Supervisors, Managers, IT System Administrators and Airport Service Center staff.
JOB DUTIES:
Onboard HIAA assets and associated inventory into Maximo
Meet with and communicate onboard plans to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Responsible for ensuring that the asset data is compete and current – especially as it relates to, job plan and asset data standards
Manage spare part information and inventories, including coordination with procurement functions
Identify, analyze and review recurring or high impact equipment maintenance problems
Assist in educating operations or facilities personnel in asset management maintenance practices
Compare planned labor, materials to actuals; update plans for future maintenance accordingly
Create, plan, schedule and coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance activities within the maintenance group
Compile reports, perform analysis and monitor metrics associated with team and asset performance
Analyze historical trends and prepare forecasts for future maintenance activities
Develop daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance plans and communicate to affected departments
Monitor the implementation of the asset management plan and coordinate changes as required
Participate in process to ensure equipment availability targets are within budget
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and demonstrate an awareness of costs by performing activities in a cost effective manner
Research and update the maintenance practices of the facility
Maintain current asset registers
Track and report on airport maintenance activities
Monitor maintenance performance over time and adjust PM requirements
Create asset reports to demonstrate work order compliance
Audit work orders for complete and accurate data
Responsible for the training and the development of key stakeholders on the use of the Maximo system
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a technical or college certificate. Trade related would be an asset.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and the Maximo Maintenance Management System,
Valid NS Drivers' license,
Knowledge of best maintenance practices and procedures related to various trades duties.
Valid Airport Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP) would be considered an asset
Experience with Maximo Maintenance Management System would be considered an asset,
Experience managing and utilizing maintenance information effectively,
Experience working in an industrial environment,
Experience developing job plans utilizing Maximo Service and Asset Management Software,
Experience creating and utilizing data base information,
Experience in training others to utilize Maximo data base information,
Experience developing step by step procedures for Maximo users,
Experience with data exchange between different data base applications,
Experience working with operation and trade groups facilitating continued advancements in maintenance practices,
Experience developing file structure hierarchy,
Experience with and Microsoft Office software,
Demonstrated problem solving ability related to software applications,
Demonstrated safety awareness,
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to different audiences,
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize work,
