Market and Counterparty Credit Risk IT provides technology solutions to support Group Risk Management in their management of Market and Counterparty Credit Risk.

We're looking for a talented and passionate Technical Lead to join our team. As an engineer you will work in an agile team to deliver high performing applications built on a cloud platform and streaming technologies. What will you do?

  • Lead other developers to build and support highly scalable, high performance components
  • Lead and mentor other developers to elevate the entire team's skillset and mindset and coach others on the team.
  • Proactively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges
  • Be open-minded and look beyond your stack to solve complex problems
  • Communicate effectively and distill technical details into human terms
  • Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing
  • Automate processes within the development pipeline; identify opportunities for efficiency gains and reducing time-to-market, and enabling continuous delivery
  • Design and develop code structures to promote reusability across many applications

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 5+ years' programming experience with Java
  • Prior experience in Java frameworks like Spring Integration and Spring Boot

Nice to Have

  • Experience in designing, writing and building microservice architecture based applications
  • Experience in Cloud technologies such as PCF, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience writing apps built around event-based architecture
  • Business knowledge of Market and Counterparty Credit Risk Systems
  • Prior direct or indirect leadership experience
