Nova Scotia Power is embarking on an exciting ERP transformation journey and are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented ERP Cutover & Release Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of system releases. This role is critical in ensuring that releases are well-managed, successful, aligned with our agile delivery methodology and coordinated across multiple teams and stakeholders.


Key elements of this role include:

Release Planning & Execution

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive release plan, including communication strategy, scheduling, and dependency management.

  • Engage early in the project lifecycle to support dry runs / mock runs and validate release readiness.

  • Lead cutover planning and refinement of runbooks for Oracle Fusion upgrade activities.

  • Identify failure points, create rollback strategies, and define entry and exit criteria for all release activities.

Execution & Coordination

  • Facilitate release kick-off meetings, status calls, and lead Go-Live Go/No-Go discussions with project stakeholders.

  • Ensure effective coordination between development, testing, and infrastructure teams to achieve seamless deployment.

  • Track release metrics and continuously improve release processes for efficiency and reliability.

Agile Delivery & Roadmap Development

  • Collaborate with agile teams to align sprint goals with release milestones.

  • Partner with stakeholders to build and maintain a forward-looking ERP release roadmap.

  • Help the organization understand upcoming capabilities and features of the system.

Communication & Reporting

  • Act as the central point of contact for release-related communications.

  • Develop and implement metrics to measure release success and adoption.

  • Create dashboards and reports to communicate release outcomes to leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a business-and-technology–related field such as Business Technology Management, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or a Business/Commerce degree with an IT, Operations, or Supply Chain focus.
  • Familiarity?with?project?management?methodologies?like?Agile?or?Scrum.
  • Experience?in?using?project?or?release?management?tools in an ERP or enterprise software environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Strong understanding of cutover execution, runbook refinement, and release governance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across distributed teams.
  • 4?years?of?experience?in?release?management is preferred
