MPE a division of Englobe is a professional engineering consulting firm that operates out of offices across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and British Columbia. We offer full-service, multi-disciplinary engineering in the irrigation, water resources, municipal, and building services sectors. Responsibilities:

  • Assist intermediate and senior engineers with design and project management tasks.
  • Collaborate with intermediate and senior engineers technologists to design civil and water resource infrastructure such as major earthworks projects, dams, canals, drainage, pipelines, site grading, and drainage systems.
  • Prepare reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct preliminary engineering studies, including preliminary designs, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, dam safety assessments, and cost estimates.
  • Support detailed design for pumping systems, pipelines, canals, drainage works, hydraulic structures, earthworks, concrete, and steel components.
  • Perform construction administration and site supervision, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Junior: 0-5 years of relevant experience (recent graduates welcome).
  • Intermediate: 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with APEGS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for general construction methods; field experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with design software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, WaterCAD; knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for occasional travel.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
