What is the opportunity?
Monitors market risk and implements risk management systems and processes to minimize any risk to the market. Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments.
What will you do?
The Quant Data Steward Specialist is supporting risk reporting within FO and Risk IT systems for the following areas of responsibility:
Data Profiling and Business Analysis
Elicit, analyze and understand business data requirements around risk factors, risk measures and valuation/risk models to:
Develop data approach and use cases for data monitoring, profiling and integration on various risk reporting feeds;
Work independently to provide analysis and requirements, and partner with technology to provide direction for data quality management;
Identify, analyze and apply data profiling/quality rules on any new projects / initiatives aligned to business or organizational strategies;
Collaborate with technology and business partners to analyze data issues and ensure remediation according to established SLAs.
Data Governance & Control
Contribute in a partnering role, in the execution of the global Quant group's expanded data stewardship mandate to:
Develop a control and governance framework and become data steward for front office production processes;
Utilize a standard change playbook and become Change Stewards helping to expedite the onboarding of new products;
Execute Data Governance procedures according to a data governance framework to satisfy business drivers and objectives;
Implement processes aligned to data information management standards and ensure data quality requirements are developed and executed;
Assume ownership of data issues change governance process and execute data quality governance processes to remediate issues;
Develop and maintain knowledge of the data available from upstream sources and data within various platforms
Analyze and map upstream source data in support of project delivery activities and data initiatives.
Front-office Product & Risk Reporting Consultant and Subject Matter Expert
There are a number of risk reporting feeds on which the Cross Asset Quants are being asked to consult and provide product knowledge. The incumbent in this role would be expected to be able to consult and contribute knowledge of best practices in data management and design on:
Design of the EODc schema on new products;
Capital Market's Data Architecture;
Common Enterprise Product Taxonomy;
Capital Markets & Risk Data Lakes;
Market Data Management and historical Market Data, and
Remediation of legacy data issues impacting the quality of risk reporting.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Minimum 5 years supporting Capital Markets in multiple asset classes
Understanding of the SDLC/QA and Agile process / methodologies
Front-office trading systems, risk systems, or trading operations systems experience
Requirements analysis and specifications, and logical data models experience
Identification of critical data elements and data quality rules definitions
Strong Capital Markets Product knowledge in various asset classes
Solid understanding of Risk
Nice to have:
Degree or training in computer science and / or mathematics would be preferred
Experience in enterprise information strategy and data governance
