Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Portfolio Risk and Controls to support the development of comprehensive risk management frameworks, monitoring project portfolio risks, and supporting senior leadership through high-quality reporting and presentations. The successful candidate must exhibit strong attention to detail, demonstrate a thorough understanding of risk and control principles, and consistently apply critical thinking and analytical skills to all responsibilities.
What will you do?
- Regulatory & Policy Compliance: Monitor and assess project manager compliance against regulatory requirements and internal policies, identifying gaps and developing remediation strategies to improve adherence rates
- Process Enhancement & Training: Support productivity improvements for project managers through the development and implementation of enhanced tooling solutions, training programs, and AI-driven process optimizations
- Financial Controls & Monitoring: Implement and maintain financial monitoring frameworks and execution controls to optimize cost productivity, including developing dashboards that provide transparency and visibility into overall portfolio health and performance
- Governance & Accountability Framework: Collaborate with Global IT Risk and Domain leads to formalize accountabilities, develop comprehensive RACI matrices, and establish clear governance structures across risk and control functions
- Risk & Performance Metrics Development: Map existing and develop new Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide comprehensive measurement and monitoring of risk exposure and control effectiveness
- Issue Management & Reporting: Enhance visibility into issue volumes, trends, and remediation activities through systematic tracking, reporting, and executive-level presentation of risk metrics and control performance
- Control Framework Formalization: Document, formalize, and continuously improve controls, services, processes, and procedures to ensure robust risk management and operational efficiency across the project portfolio
- Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management: Prepare high-quality presentations and reports for senior leadership, translating complex risk data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in risk management, internal controls, or project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau or other data analysis and visualization software
- Familiarity with project management and costing tools such as Planview, MIS, Jira, Confluence or other reporting tools that track quantitative and qualitative information
- Naturally curious about technology, a self-starter, resourceful, and highly adaptive
