What is the opportunity?

RBC's Wealth Management segment Supplier Management team seeks a Senior Manager to elevate our third-party risk and supplier governance programs. This role empowers you to drive change, innovate processes, and deliver impactful solutions and shape Wealth Management's Operational Risk Resilience while growing your expertise, whether through hands-on execution or team leadership. In this role, you will lead transformational initiatives to optimize supplier risk management practices, spearhead issue management and control assurance, drive regulatory compliance. Key activities include but are not limited to supporting various change and integration initiatives within WM's overall Supplier Management program.

What will you do?

  • Drive Transformation: Enhance risk management practices, regulatory adherence, and automation.
  • Change Management: Champion transformation efforts, including stakeholder communication, training, and adoption strategies.
  • Strategic Execution: Plan and execute for supplier risk mitigation, compliance automation, and operational excellence.
  • Issue Resolution & Control Assurance: Manage end-to-end third-party issue lifecycle (root cause analysis, action plans, closure) to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Collaborate with global teams and provide cross regional support; enable stakeholders and partners with healthy friction to adhere to risk management best practices.
  • Data Insights & Reporting: Generate executive reports on risk trends, compliance status, and performance metrics.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure supplier due diligence and adherence to RBC policies, standards and regulatory guidelines.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Education: University degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7+ years in supplier risk, operational risk, third-party governance, and/or transformation.
  • Risk & Compliance: Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (OSFI B10, PRA) and third-party risk methodologies.
  • Strategic Execution: Proven ability to drive complex initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Influence & Communication: Exceptional skills in persuading stakeholders and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical rigor and creativity in resolving ambiguous challenges.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools (e.g., Tableau), and SRM platforms.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications: PMP, CISM, CRISC, third party risk or equivalent.
  • Industry Tools: Hands-on experience with Archer and iValua.
  • Financial Services: Background in wealth management or capital markets.
  • Change Management: Formal training in OCM or process reengineering.
  • Global Mindset: Experience supporting cross-regional supplier ecosystems.
  • People Management: 3+ years developing high-performing teams (coaching, delegation, talent strategy).
