Ingredion is an industrial manufacturing and processing facility that supports large-scale production and distribution operations. The site includes controlled production areas, warehouses, loading docks, and administrative offices, with regular movement of employees, contractors, and commercial vehicles. Due to the nature of manufacturing operations, the facility requires structured access control, adherence to safety procedures, and coordinated site activity to support efficient, safe, and continuous operations.

Status: Casual/On-call
Hours: Monday-Friday (0630-1830, 1830-0630, 0700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-0700), Sat & Sun (0630-1830, 0630-1830)
Pay Rate: $19.06/hour

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed
- Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly
- Enthusiastically conduct proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.
- Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public
- Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources.
- Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries
- Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
- Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client's staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
- Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Must wear 6-inch all-leather safety boots with ankle coverage
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
