Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and creative Manager, Communications to join the RBC Wealth Management Canada communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving effective internal communication strategies that help to inform, engage, and inspire employees across RBC Wealth Management Canada, including RBC PH&N Investment Counsel and RBC Dominion Securities. You will play a critical role in creating and delivering impactful content, including newsletters, videos, presentations, and other internal communications materials.

- Internal communications strategy & planning: Develop and execute internal communication strategies that support business goals, foster employee engagement, and ensure clear, consistent messaging.
- Video production & graphic design: Lead the creation of engaging video and multi-media content for internal audiences. Oversee the production process from scripting and filming to editing and final distribution.
- Newsletter strategy & execution: Manage the strategy and production of internal newsletters. Curate content and work with contributors, ensuring communications are clear, engaging, and timely.
- Article writing & editorial content: Write and edit articles, announcements, and other editorial content for intranet sites and newsletters. Ensure content is aligned with business priorities and reflects the company's voice.
- Change management communications: Support change management initiatives by developing clear, targeted internal communications that help employees navigate organizational change, new policies, or business transformations.
- Analytics & impact measurement: Utilize analytics tools to track and measure the effectiveness of internal communications strategies and vehicles. Use insights to continuously improve content strategies and inform future communications initiatives.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications, with a strong focus on content creation, project management, and employee engagement.
- Prior experience in financial services or wealth management is an asset but not required.
Nice to have:
- Expertise in internal communications strategy and execution.
- Proficiency in video production and editing (experience with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing software).
- Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for internal communications materials.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities. Able to craft clear, compelling, and engaging content for a variety of internal channels.
- Experience with change management communications, including crafting messages that ease transitions and inform employees.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- A creative and strategic thinker who can balance high-level planning with detailed execution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for producing high-quality, visually appealing content.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
