Hours: Saturday and Sunday (0800-1700hrs)
Pay Rate: $18.55/hr

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement - calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly
Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Previous security experience is an asset
• Post Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized college preferred
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
• First Aid, CPR Level C
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

The day-to-day work activities of a Security Guard working at Great Lakes Copper include, but are not limited to the following duties:

• Control entry and access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the plant
• Report safety non-compliances and all incidents to specified Great Lakes Copper representative
• Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when required
• Maintain a helpful and professional affiliation with Great Lakes Copper employees, carriers, contractors and visitors
• Prevent, observe, detect and report thefts, break-ins, vandalism, accidents and fire.
