We're hiring General Labour staff to support a food manufacturing environment. This position involves rotating between various tasks on the production floor to help keep operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Position Overview
The General Labour role supports daily production activities including extrusion, mixing, packaging, and general line duties. You'll work closely with other departments to maintain product quality, resolve basic equipment issues, and meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate and support equipment on the extrusion, mixing, and packaging lines.
• Perform general labour tasks such as loading, unloading, handling product, and moving materials.
• Monitor product quality and follow established control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas following GMPs.
• Follow all Health & Safety regulations including HACCP and WHMIS requirements.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or product defects promptly.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Carry out other production duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or food production is an asset.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Skills & Abilities
• Willingness to learn and perform multiple roles across production lines.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on product quality.
• Solid communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.

Working Conditions
• Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and food ingredients.
• Required PPE includes safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, and hairnets.
• Standing for long periods, repetitive motions, and working near moving machinery.
• Shift work, weekends, and overtime may be required depending on production needs.
