WHO WE ARE:
The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour is seeking an individual to join the Finance and Operations Branch as Audit and Compliance Officer in the Internal Audit unit, working in Fredericton.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As member of the Skilled Trades NB branch team, the successful candidate will be responsible to support curriculum and examination development activities for apprenticeable occupations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting industry meetings, preparing new occupational designation information, developing support documentation (regulations, progress record books, etc.) for designated occupations, overseeing provincial and intra-provincial development of curriculum and evaluation instruments, developing implementation strategies for program delivery, assessing applications for Program Recognition, conducting prior learning assessments and developing detailed study guides.

The following operational requirement is required: The successful candidate must be able to travel throughout Canada when necessary.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Education, and a minimum of four (4) years related experience; OR a Bachelor Degree in Education supplemented by a minimum of six (6) years related experience; OR a Diploma of Apprenticeship and Certificate of Qualification plus the completion of an adult education program, supplemented by four (4) years of practical industry experience (after certification). An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following asset qualification:

  • A New Brunswick Certificate of Qualification in a designated occupation

Subject to the response of this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application the asset qualification in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration

SALARY:
$3,089 to $3,731 bi-weekly.
