SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Spoken French and English essential and written French or English

JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Professional Services and in collaboration with the Regional Manager of Professional Practice, the Regional Advisor is a health professional in a field other than nursing who has solid expertise in professional practice. They act as an advisor or consultant to all health care professionals, with the exception of nurses and the medical team. They provide strategic leadership to promote excellence in professional practice, while identifying challenges, proposing solutions and taking into account best practices and evidence.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in one of the health care professional fields;
- Member in good standing of a health care professional regulatory body in the province of New Brunswick;
- Certificate in health services management or equivalent (an asset);
- Minimum of five years' experience demonstrating progressive leadership in clinical care and professional practice (e.g., preceptorship, clinical leader for their profession) in a health care field other than nursing. Any combination of training and experience deemed equivalent could be considered;
- Demonstrated skills in mentoring new employees or students, leadership in unit management (participation in the development of policies and procedures, etc.), participation in professional association activities relevant to professional practice;
- Very good knowledge of policies and procedures related to professional practice;
- Experience in preparation and delivery of training to groups of professionals;
- Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures, documentation forms, and preprinted and collective orders;
- Good knowledge of the operation, structure and organization of a health network (an asset);
- High professional credibility and strong sense of ethics;
- Proven skills in conflict management, analysis, problem-solving and leadership;
- Ability to lead work teams;
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to function in a constantly changing work environment;
- Keen interest in furthering own knowledge;
- Proficiency with computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform assigned work;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
- Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
