PAL Aviation Services is currently seeking a full-time Flight Service Coordinator Supervisor to join our team in St. John's, NL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all duties of the Flight Service Coordinator when required (up to 3-4 days a week at peak periods) - Working Supervisor
  • Communicate with employees on daily activities, holding staff briefings to ensure staff are aware of any issues or concerns for the day/week ahead.
  • Plan and adjust work schedules and ensure appropriate staff coverage and shift handovers.
  • Approve employee timecards and requests for leave.
  • Interview new staff as required.
  • Observe employee performance to ensure policies are adhered to and review employee work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Complete performance reviews and give appropriate feedback
  • Work with employees to provide support and solve any employee issues.
  • Create and maintain customer relationships, follow up on all customer issues or concerns and ensure customer calls and emails are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Act as a mentor to new personnel.
  • Solicit new business opportunities.
  • Ensure daily checks of FBO facilities are completed and FBO is presentable for clients.
  • Attend Daily Operations meetings as required.
  • Complete administration duties, including development of staff schedules, inventory reconciliation, fuel paperwork, etc.
  • Liaise between front desk staff and ramp support to determine ramp parking plan
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of customer service and supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to acquire a Transport Canada Security Clearance
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment effectively
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shift work
