This is an opportunity to join RBC's Sustainability & Impact team as Manager, Strategic Initiatives. This role will drive impact through strategic programs, foster relationships with community partners, and design engaging learning opportunities to enhance the impact of RBC's global community investment portfolio.

What will you do?

Community Investment Strategy:

  • Lead key workstreams related to strategic community investment initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal partners to support community investment partner experience
  • Oversee a portfolio of community investment partners with proactive and supportive relationship management
  • Perform due diligence checks and process payments in a timely manner to support strong governance and effective budget management

Learning and Knowledge Mobilization:

  • Conduct research on trends in the non-profit sector across RBC's markets, and make recommendations to inform operations strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify knowledge gaps and design tailored learning programs
  • Leverage digital platforms and tools to create interactive and accessible learning content
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives to make data-driven improvements

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, including trends, challenges, and best practices
  • Thoughtful and proactive approach to relationship management and partner engagement
  • Strategic, critical and analytical thinker with a strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter who can prioritize for impact, manage numerous initiatives at once, and roll-up sleeves to execute with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with responsibility for complete multi-stage workstreams
  • Skilled facilitator with the ability to foster participation and knowledge sharing among diverse stakeholder groups

Nice-to-have

  • Professional working proficiency in French
  • Experience working in a large, matrix organization
  • Experience instructional design, training delivery, or adult learning principles
  • Budget management experience
  • Understanding of corporate foundation models in Canada and the U.S.
