JOB SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Director of Primary Health Care, the incumbent is responsible for the regional coordination of the Occupational Health Department. The incumbent must develop and review policies and procedures to ensure consistency in the services offered across all Vitalité Health Network facilities. These support services must meet the needs of both the employees and the employer.

More specifically, the incumbent must:

  • Guide and supervise a team of occupational health nurses whose responsibilities include promoting health and safety in the workplace, and ensuring the implementation of preventive measures for individuals exposed to known diseases or infections.
  • Work closely with the occupational health nurse practitioner to ensure an integrated, effective approach focused on the health needs of staff.
  • Assume responsibility for organizing, coordinating and ensuring the smooth running of immunization clinics for Vitalité Health Network staff and trainees, ensuring that these activities comply with current standards and support public health and infection prevention objectives.
  • Work closely with the Network's Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team to ensure consistency between occupational health practices and infection prevention recommendations, particularly in the context of outbreaks, exposure management or implementation of preventive measures.

REQUIREMENT :

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in health or an administrative field, combined with management experience;
  • CHRP designation and a master's in administration considered assets;
  • Four to five years' relevant experience in organizational development, project management and/or human resources management;
  • Recent organizational development experience, namely in health and change management;
  • Experience in project supervision and management;
  • Experience developing competency profiles;
  • A combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
  • Innovative and collaborative management style that promotes teamwork and mobilizes staff;
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to make decisions based on sound judgment;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrates innovation while following strategic directions;
  • Excellent knowledge of recent approaches in organizational development and change management;
  • Ability to play a consulting role in terms of organizational development with managers, workers and various partners;
  • Ability to settle disagreements in sometimes delicate situations by showing tact and creativity;
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills;
  • Ability to function with ease in the broad context of a major re-engineering of the health network and strong skills for implementing change management strategies;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities;
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and monitor performance indicators;
  • Ability to travel occasionally;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
