Hours: | Continental rotation 0800-2000/2000-0800
Payrate: | $22.61/hour

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a smart, visible, and professional security presence.
- Greet, assist, and direct members of the public.
- Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, buildings, and assets.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Conduct proactive and reactive patrols (interior/exterior).
- Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as required.
- Document, report, and investigate security incidents and routine issues.
- Perform patient watches as needed.
- Enforce hospital policies, parking/smoking by-laws, and access/key control.
- Complete monthly safety inspections.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
- Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.

- Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
- Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
- Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
- Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
- English proficiency (oral & written) is required
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
- 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
- Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
