Position Summary:

The Project Manager plays a key leadership role in advancing New Brunswick Integrated Youth Services (NB-IYS) by overseeing the planning, execution of multiple, complex projects related to hub development, partnership coordination, service integration and knowledge sharing.

This position requires a strategic, organized, and collaborative project leader who can work effectively across sectors and ensure that youth voice, equity, and community partnership are embedded throughout all initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Implementation

  • Monitor and lead the planning, coordination, and execution, of multiple projects across the province.
  • Establish project timelines and agendas
  • Develop and manage project charters, work plans, timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely and effective implementation.
  • Maintain project records and documentation
  • Provide internal and external stakeholders with regular updates
  • Collaborate with contractors and funders
  • Assist in the development of proposals and reports to funders and philanthropy

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Facilitate collaboration among youth-serving organizations, government departments, community partners, and funders.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, workshops, symposia/conferences and engagement sessions with partners and advisory councils.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local hub implementation teams.

Strategic Development & Innovation

  • Support the expansion of the NB-IYS model to new communities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance integration, and strengthen partnerships.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and sustainability efforts to advance the NB-IYS provincial vision.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, health administration, social sciences, public administration, community development) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing priorities, preferably in health, social services, or community development sectors.
  • Experience developing project plans, budgets, and reports.
  • A combination of related work experience and education may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of youth services, mental health and wellness systems, and community partnerships.
  • Knowledge of NB-IYS or similar integrated service models is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of research and evaluation projects is an asset.
  • Understanding of principles and practices of Indigenous engagement and knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, cultures, perspectives and health service providers are assets.
  • Demonstrated commitment to principles of equity, inclusivity, respect and social justice are assets.
  • Proficiency in both English and French languages is an asset.
  • A valid Work Permit is mandatory for temporary residents.
  • Residency in New Brunswick (NB) or willingness to relocate is mandatory.
  • A new Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory.

  • Knowledge of Ownership Control Access and Possession (OCAP) and New Brunswick Privacy legislation are assets.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, including project charters, work plans, risk management, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of government, community, and non-profit systems and their roles in collaborative initiatives.
  • Knowledge of budget development, financial tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with risk identification and mitigation strategies in complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Excellent project planning, coordination, and implementation skills to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate challenges, assess long-term implications, and align initiatives with organizational priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Work Environment:
    • Primarily based in an office setting with flexibility for remote work as needed.

  • Work Hours:
    • Full-time position with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours.
