Area Security Supervisor Zone 6 - Healthcare (Bathurst, NB)

Paladin Security is looking for a motivated, versatile individual who can share their leadership to manage a team of security operatives in the Acadie/Bathurst region (Zone 6 of the Vitalité Health Network).

Zone 6 contains 4 main sites but is not limited to:

• Bathurst Chaleur Regional Hospital
• Tracadie Hospital
• Caraquet Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital
• Lamèque Hospital and Community Health Centre

Position Details:
Position: Area Security Supervisor Zone 6
Site: Bathurst Chaleur Regional Hospital
Hours: 40 per week
Overtime: Excess of 44 hours
Shifts: Monday to Friday 08am to 04pm
Payrate: $25,42/hour

Key responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and ongoing training to employees
• Ensure all standing instructions and scheduled daily activities are executed according to the requirements for each shift
• Ensure site personnel comply with all Paladin Security and Client policies and procedures
• Participate in the planning and implementation of shift schedules
• Guarantee the maintenance of the necessary staffing levels on site
• Ensure all security officers have received mandatory training
• Motivate staff and provide commendations
• Apply necessary disciplinary measures and ensure proper documentation is submitted to headquarters
• Manage attendance
• Conduct security audits
• Document and investigate incidents and complaints
• Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols
• Communicate any concerns or issues to the Customer Service Manager
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with frontline personnel
• Review reports
• Respond to incidents and provide feedback to frontline staff
• Respond to major incidents and provide necessary support
• Liaise between management and frontline staff
• Participate in the hiring and onboarding processes for new staff
• Assume all frontline security officer responsibilities as required
• Conduct site visits within the assigned area
• Other duties may be assigned to support operations

Prerequisites:

• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• COVID-19 vaccination, two doses
• Immunization records for mumps, measles, rubella, varicella, and a two-step tuberculosis skin test
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential
• Must be able to provide Use of Force (UoF) certification
• Candidates without the certification may enroll in Paladin's UoF training program prior to their induction training to ensure they meet the job requirements
• Please note that UoF training is unpaid, as it is a prerequisite; however, Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
