Job Summary
The Regional Program Consultant is responsible for assisting and supporting the Regional Program Director in effective planning, organizing, directing and evaluating patient care services provided in the Regional Children?s and Women?s Health Program. You are responsible for initiatives relating to the Regional Children?s and Women?s Health Program including promoting integration and standardization of evidence informed practices; assists with design of safe, effective and efficient care delivery systems; supports clinical priorities; proactive review of services and policies; and assists with priority setting across the program to improve overall quality. You utilize a multi factorial and interdisciplinary team approach. The position works with a great deal of independence and autonomy and has accountability for administrative and operational aspects of the program including quality of patient care and services offered as well as efficient and effective use of resources and ongoing quality improvement for the regional program. The Program Consultant has some role and responsibility in the Organization?s strategic directions and providing direction regarding the Children?s and Women?s Health Program mandate, focus and service delivery, which has a provincial and regional impact.
Job Qualifications
Education
Baccalaureate Degree in a health-related discipline is required.
Master?s Degree is preferred.
Experience
Five (5) years of acute care clinical experience within the last seven (7) years is required.
Previous management experience is preferred.
