The Role
The Server Analyst is responsible for the administration and support of server infrastructure across a global enterprise environment. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of server systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendor partners to support business operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual server environments (Windows/Linux)
- Respond to and fulfill data restore requests
- Fulfill service requests and resolve incidents using Monday.com as the primary work management platform
- Support global data center operations and cloud-based infrastructure
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
- Participate in change management processes to ensure controlled implementation of system changes
- Work closely with vendor partners to coordinate support, maintenance, and project activities
- Maintain documentation for server configurations, procedures, and standards
- Identify and investigate hardware and software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement an action plan for resolution
- Enforce server standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Provide after-hour support and on-call support as required
- Maintaining Distribution Lists
- Act as an escalation point for service desk analysts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in server administration in a large-scale or global environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS,)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
Preferred Skills:
- Scripting experience (PowerShell)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services
