ACADEMIC PROGRAM ASSISTANT (BAND LEVEL 4)

Office of the Registrar

Grenfell Campus

(Contractual Position to April 24, 2026; Possibility of Extension)

DUTIES

As part of the Grenfell Campus Registrar's Office team, the Academic Program Assistant will provide administrative support to the academic school committees, such as the Committees on Student Academic Affairs, Committees on Academic Programming, Grenfell Campus Sub-Committee of Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies, and the Grenfell Campus Committee on Special Admissions. Duties include processing convocation applications; processing fine arts admissions applications; assisting with final exam scheduling; generating statistical data and reports using the Banner Student Administration System; providing Banner Student support services for faculty, staff, and students; ensuring an efficient and accurate response to inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and the general public; updating business process documentation; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (minimum 2 years) in academic program activities in a university environment; completion of a two-year program in business administration, or university-level courses in business administration or a related field, is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. Knowledge of Memorial's academic regulations as they relate to admissions and registration; extensive experience working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; a strong understanding of policies related to privacy and confidentiality; and strong organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience with the Banner Student Administration System is preferred. Knowledge of lnfosilem, and room scheduling systems would be considered an asset.

SALARY $50,294 - $58,998 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
