What is the opportunity?

The Sr. Manager, End User Services Risk Management will play a critical role in driving risk governance, compliance, and integration for the CNB Technology and the RBC Technology Infrastructure (TI) organizations. This is a new role in the End User Services Technology Risk team. This role will drive CNB and RBC risk management governance, compliance, and integration in the End User Services Technology space.

What will you do?

  • This role will collaborate with the IT departments (e.g. cloud, mainframe, database, middleware, operations, DR), enterprise risk and security teams and 2LOD to ensure RBC and CNB technology maintains compliance across technology related Risk, Audit and Regulatory findings, Key Risk Indicators (KRI's) and that remediation plans are - documented, managed and completed in a timely manner.

  • The position ensures compliance with regulatory, internal risk, and audit expectations while fostering a culture of proactive risk management across the IT organization and supporting the achievement of TI's strategy.

  • Work closely with CNB and RBC Technology owners to monitor and manage risk compliance across KRI's (IAM, ITSM, Issue Management, Audit, Vulnerability and Patch Management, EOL, TSS, Openshare, NPID).

  • Partner with technology owners to document and manage remediation plans to drive risk compliance and technology integration between CNB and RBC.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years in an IT Risk Management capacity, across any of the 3 lines of defense, with a strong focus on mitigation and remediation.

  • Minimum of 5 years in an IT Project Management capacity.

  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and standards across the US or Canada (e.g., regulatory compliance, enterprise risk, internal controls, SOX, ITGC); expertise with UK and APAC regulators, considered beneficial.

  • Understanding of various infrastructure and middleware platforms such as cloud, mainframe, middleware, database, operations.

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse functions and levels of the organization.

  • Passionate about improving the risk management experience while delivering on commitments and expectations from risk stakeholders.

  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple risk remediation projects simultaneously.

  • Industry framework knowledge, i.e., ITIL, NIST, COBIT, FedRAMP, FFIEC.

Nice to have:

  • Industry related certifications, i.e., CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, PMI etc.
