Who we are:
We invite you to join the Mactaquac Provincial Park Golf Course team! As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role at one of New Brunswick's most picturesque golf venues. As a key leader, you'll be part of a team of passionate professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional service and unforgettable experiences.

What you will do:
Reporting to the Manager of the Mactaquac Provincial Park Golf Course, the successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the pro shop with a focus on guest satisfaction. The Head Golf Professional will work closely with the manager and oversee the pro shop, guest services, club events and corporate events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Supervising and scheduling all golf staff including pro shop staff, golf services, starters, and marshals
  • Managing and strengthening retail operations at the pro shop including all aspects of inventory management and sales planning
  • Implementing and coordinating club events as well as work with tournament organizers and execute all corporate events
  • Acting as course representative in fostering relationships with guests, vendors and external organizations
  • Developing and delivering instructional and coaching programs for individuals, juniors, groups and clinics
  • Assisting in the buying and pricing of inventory for Herring Cove Provincial Park Golf Course
  • Assisting in developing off-season programs with potential new revenue streams
  • Exhibiting versatility in handling diverse responsibilities as situations present

You are a passionate and experienced golf professional with a deep knowledge of the game and a commitment to delivering an exceptional golf experience. You thrive in a leadership role, mentoring staff, engaging with guests, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive golf community. Your strong organizational and management skills allow you to oversee golf operations effectively, including tournaments, instruction programs, and retail services. With excellent communication and customer service skills, you build strong relationships with players of all levels, ensuring they have a memorable experience at Mactaquac Provincial Park Golf Course.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Required Competencies:

  • GA Class A Membership with 2+ years of management experience
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in golf related or other studies
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Proficiency in club management software and Golf Genius-type platforms
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
$2,249.00 to $3,145 bi-weekly (Pay Band 4)

Work environment:

  • Some travel throughout the province may be required
  • Ability to work flexible hours throughout the golf season, including weekends and holidays
