Trinity-Clifton United Church is made up of Trinity United Church in Charlottetown and Clifton United Church in Stratford (only open from June to October). Our church has a long history of community service and social justice. We are in a period of transition following COVID-19, working to revitalize our church community in ways that will strengthen our impact on our neighbourhood and build better relationships with like-hearted community organizations.

Reporting to the Minister, the Office Administrator is a key part of our team, and often the first point of contact for visitors to our church. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Minister, the Office Administrator will oversee day-to-day operations of the church office, which includes providing administrative support to the Minister, other church staff, church Council and committees and groups of Council.
General duties will include:
- Responding to inquiries from the congregation and the general public through phone, email, social media, and in person.
- Maintaining electronic and physical records, files, contact lists, and reports.
- Managing room and parking rentals and maintaining the church calendar.
- Preparing and submitting payroll reports and invoices, as well as maintaining bookkeeping records associated with day-to-day operations and following up on outstanding invoices.
- Monitoring office supply inventory and ensuring office equipment is serviced and maintained.
- Updating and printing reports, agendas, meeting minutes and records in conjunction with the Minister, lay staff, council and church congregation.
- Posting content to social media and the website, and creating content as needed (e.g. slides, images etc).
- Supporting and maintaining relationships with groups that use our facilities and working collaboratively with other staff, congregation members, and community partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school or GED/CAEC, postsecondary education is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Comfortable with office technology and able to work with a variety of software including Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Able to use and/or willing to be trained on Canva, Facebook Business Manager, Wordpress, PowerChurch Plus, Sage Accounting, and other software as required.
- Energetic with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a genuine interest in working with people.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and apply emotional intelligence and problem solving skills when working with a variety of individuals and groups.
- Strong organization, adaptability and time management skills.
- Interest in community building and social justice is an asset.
