Department: Department of Health (DH)
Placement Description: The Department of Health is seeking a master's student to join the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health for their practicum placement. During this term, the student will work closely with staff to research population health indicators and identify those most suitable for adoption in New Brunswick. The placement will involve conducting an environmental scan and a literature review of both published articles and grey literature, developing reports and related documents based on the findings, and collaborating with internal stakeholders, including the Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in applied public health research and policy development within a provincial context.
This role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.
Need to have:

• Language requirement: English
• Be a current student pursuing a Masters in Public Health or Applied Health Services

Nice to have: Experience completing literature reviews would be considered an asset.
