Bay Side Home - Barrington, Shelburne County, Nova Scotia

Bay Side Home's model of care is based on the Eden Alternative. We embrace a person-driven culture where activities and care are structured in partnership with residents. Bay Side Home is a licensed long-term care facility, located at 96 Bayside Drive in Barrington, and home to sixty-two residents.

Position Available: 100% FTE Registered Nurse

About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Nurse plays a leadership role in facilitating Bay Side Home's model of care. You will work collaboratively with residents, their families, and the Bay Side Home team to provide Care at its Best. Strong leadership, teamwork, and clinical skills are essential in this role.

In this role, you will:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and direct resident care needs.
• Provide leadership and guidance to LPN and CCA staff in delivering high-quality resident care.
• Ensure the Home's policies are followed, including documentation of actions, incidents, and resident needs.
• Assume responsibility for the Home after hours and on weekends.

Qualifications:

• Must hold, or be eligible for, active licensure as a Nurse with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
• Experience in long-term care, with strong leadership and assessment skills, is considered an asset.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience providing resident-centered care and willingness to embrace a person-driven culture.
