Job Title: Dispatcher

Location: Bayer's Lake, Nova Scotia

Shift: Full-time, 4 Days On (10-hour shift), 3 Days Off, Weekend Availability Required

Pay Rate: $26.00/hour

Advantage Personnel is hiring a skilled, detail-oriented Dispatcher to support our client's busy logistics team in Bayer's Lake, Nova Scotia. As a Dispatcher, you'll play a central role in ensuring drivers stay on schedule and goods move efficiently across local, national, and cross-border routes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers for local, national, and cross-border pickups and deliveries
• Work alongside a dispatch teammate to support 40-50 drivers daily
• Monitor routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and on-time performance
• Keep detailed, accurate records of logs, routes, and delivery information
• Respond promptly to drivers and clients via phone, email, and messaging platforms
• Track and report delays, delivery challenges, or equipment issues
• Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and report preparation

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of dispatching experience
• Experience with the ICC Dispatch System
• Familiarity with PeopleNet / Trimble Fleet Manager
• Strong multitasking abilities and excellent time-management skills
• Clear communication, solid problem-solving skills, and strong organization
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
