Job Title:Dispatcher

Location: Bayer's Lake, NS

Shift: Full-time, 4 Days On (10 hour shift), 3 Days Off, must be available on weekends

Pay Rate: $26.00/Hr

Advantage Personnel is currently hiring a Dispatcher on behalf of our client located in Bayer's Lake, Nova Scotia. We are seeking an experienced and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively coordinate drivers, manage schedules, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers for local, national and cross-border deliveries, pickups, and routes
• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout the day. With a dispatch teammate, you may be coordinating with 40 to 50 drivers per day
• Monitor delivery schedules to ensure on-time performance and efficient routing
• Maintain accurate records of driver logs, routes, and delivery details
• Respond promptly to client and driver inquiries via phone, email, and messaging systems
• Track and report on delivery issues, delays, or equipment concerns
• Assist with administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and report preparation

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of dispatching experience
• Experience with ICC Dispatch System
• Experience with PeopleNet/ Trimble Fleet Manager
• Strong multitasking and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
