Sobeys is accepting applications for temporary employment, and warehouse order selectors are required at our Sobeys Rockyview Warehouse, located at 260199 High Plains Blvd, Rocky View County, AB T4A 0P9. Successful applicants will be required to be able to lift 25 pounds consistently throughout the shift.

• Must have full time availability to work 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime 10 pm - 6:30 am

Here's where you'll be focusing:

• Assemble orders for shipment to customers
• Load goods onto delivery vehicle in proper sequence as defined by trip sheet
• Fill pick slots with merchandise from reserve area
• Assemble pallets
• Place returned merchandise in stock and move damaged products to recoup area
• Document received merchandise and move merchandise from the receiving dock and place in proper slots
• Follow safe work practices and company safety rules
• Ensure required personal protective equipment is worn at all times
• Exercise good housekeeping practices at all times and maintain an acceptable level of productivity, handle merchandise in a damage-free manner, and report all equipment malfunctions to a supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements
• Other duties may be assigned

What you have to offer:

  • The role requires:
    • Solid reading comprehension (English)
    • Ability to move quickly
    • Ability to reach, grasp, twist and turn frequently
    • Ability to stand for a full shift
    • Occasional lifting of 25 lbs.
    • Would offer 10-hour shifts for night work
    • Follow all Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards

      • Successful candidates will need to bring their own steel-toed boots
      • Other PPE and training will be provided
      • Must be 18 years of age or older
