Anglophone West School District invites applications for the following positions:
(ASD-W) – Acting Community Engagement Coordinator School Food Program - 1.0 FTE (36.25 hrs/wk.)
This position will be based out of the Office of the Superintendent - 20 Knowledge Park Drive, Fredericton, NB.

This position will be based out of the Woodstock Education Centre, 138 Chapel Street Woodstock, NB.
Employment Type: Term until June 30, 2027 (with possibility of extension)

Salary: SBO 3 ($1799- $2823) Bi-weekly
Office Location: In person at the respective district office

Work is done within well-defined, somewhat diversified procedures, with many precedents covering most situations and/or readily available assistance. The complexity at this level implies that this position could be confronted with a number of different situations, each having several different solutions. At this level, the job holder would have the latitude to resolve problems by determining which procedure to use. Work is subject to standardized practices and procedures.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision of a Community Schools Coordinators - Operations in the Anglophone West School District. The primary focus of this position is on school/district-wide operational duties pertaining to grant writing, food security, and recreational concept development. Other responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing work plans that align with the District Education Plan to support educational initiatives of the district.
- Identifying and cataloging the needs of the district and available community resources.
- Working with School Administrations and key partners, develop long-term strategic plans for the local community and business involvement with the schools/District, with a primary focus on Food Security and long-term food services agreements for all schools in the Anglophone West School District.
- Developing school food programming at all schools.
- Prioritizing the procurement of equipment and building modifications as required to support the food programs.
- Promoting and coordinating partnerships that support schools in providing a quality, inclusive environment for students.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Administration and the Superintendent.
Hours of work must be flexible, responding to the needs of the district and school communities, and may involve some evening and weekend work.
These positions report to the Director of Finance and Administration on best practices and new partnerships developed so that the maintenance and growth of the community-based activities can be monitored at the district level.
Qualifications:
- Work at this level requires knowledge normally gained through the equivalent of a University Degree in a non-technical area, supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience.
- Written and spoken competency in English is required.
Assets:
- Safe Food Handling Certification, knowledge of Food Premises Licensing, and knowledge of commercial cafeteria equipment.
- Knowledge/experience with school food program operations.
- Experience in community engagement.
- Experience in supervising/training people and/or programs.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Operations, and digitally literate.

Salary: In accordance with the Public Service Alliance of Canada Union (PSAC), School Business Office 3 based on a minimum of 36.25 hours/week.
