What you will do
Reporting to the Highway Striping Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
providing leadership, guidance, and support to employees, while ensuring effective teamwork and performance;
carrying out the application of pre-markings prior to the installation of passing, no-passing, and other related pavement markings;
operating striping trucks and related equipment to apply pavement markings;
installing various pavement markings and materials, including grinding existing markings and performing other related duties as required;
completing required weekly time records, expense reports, vehicle inspection logs and daily field work reports accurately and in a timely manner;
ensuring the quality and accuracy of all markings applied, while following proper safety procedures and using appropriate equipment.
Work environment:
Office location: 122 Currie Avenue, Fredericton or 14 Kelly Road, Miramichi.
Standard hours of work: Monday – Friday.
Extensive travel within the Province.
Walking and/or driving for significant periods of time on a daily basis throughout the Province.
Extended work hours may frequently be required.

Essential Qualifications:
Completion of grade ten (10) and a minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operation of highway striping equipment and one (1) year supervisory experience is required;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
Valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and in French is required for one position.
Written and spoken competence in English is required for the other position.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following assets:
experience with highway pavement markings operations.

SALARY:
Highway Striping Supervisor: $29.29 per hour based on a 40 hour week.
An additional 4.8% differential will be paid above the rate of pay to Highway Striping Supervisors supervising Operations Worker II's and/or Equipment Operators.
