Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Brand & Philanthropy, the Philanthropy and Engagement Coordinator is a key ambassador of our organization, responsible for fostering relationships with supporters, spreading awareness of our mission, and driving forward our fund development and engagement strategies. This individual will be a champion for our cause, inspiring stakeholders and ensuring a meaningful experience for donors, fundraisers, and volunteers.

Distinguishing Characteristics

The ideal candidate will enthusiastically support the vision and mission of ASNB and possess the personal qualities of integrity and credibility. They will have the proven ability to work within teams to accomplish multiple tasks and keep multiple projects organized and progressing. They will also be bilingual, and have a proven track record in raising funds. The position requires substantial effort to connect with, build community relations with, and engage targeted audiences, and as such, regular travel, both within the province and out of province is a requirement.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Engagement, Stewardship, and Stakeholder Experience

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, fundraisers, volunteers, and community partners to both build awareness, and strengthen the organization.
  • Enhance the stakeholder experience for walkers, donors, and fundraisers by implementing innovative engagement strategies.
  • Cultivate the growth of stewardship to recognize and appreciate stakeholders, fostering loyalty and long-term support.
  • Actively participate in engagement and awareness initiatives, serving as a visible and enthusiastic representative of the organization.

Fund Development

  • Drive fund development efforts by growing and enhancing initiatives, including partnerships, events, planned giving, major gifts, and grant opportunities.
  • Lead third-party fundraising efforts, supporting community-led initiatives.
  • Collaborate with national Federation Partners and represent New Brunswick on National Working Groups.
  • Produce compelling fund development materials, such as case statements, briefing notes, and stewardship letters.
  • Implement and maintain the organization's fund development model, ensuring best practices andcontinuous improvement.
  • Report current or anticipated risks to fund development plan that may have an impact on the organization

Building a Culture of Philanthropy

  • Foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization by inspiring staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to embrace the mission and values of our society.
  • Lead efforts to recognize and celebrate philanthropic contributions at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and all team members to ensure person-centred approaches to all activities of the ASNB.
  • Assist in administrative duties or responsibilities that may be necessary in the overall plan of ASNB

Qualifications:

  • Must be bilingual in French and English
  • Experience working with Not for Profit organization and a proven track record fund development
  • Community awareness with the ability to build trusting relationships with community partners
  • Takes a highly collaborative approach to work, and is very motivated
  • Sensitive to the impact of Alzheimer's disease on the individual and the family
  • Must embody the vision and values of the ASNB
  • Must be approachable, have solid communication skills and a warm positive attitude with active listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, multitask
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of managing a CRM database
  • Established organizational and administrative skills
  • Possess a valid NB driver's license and be available to travel
  • Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours
