The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD) is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join the Digital Learning and System Excellence Branch of the Anglophone Educational Services Division.
The Digital Learning and System Excellence team supports educational innovation across the K-12 system through a diverse portfolio of high-impact projects and initiatives. To support the branch, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist with the management of the programs and actions that support K-12 Education.
As the Program Coordinator you will be working on project milestones, monitoring progress against key performance indicators, and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and impact. You will collaborate across internal teams and with external partners to ensure alignment with organizational priorities. In addition, the position will play a lead role in compiling data-driven insights and success stories.
Your Key Responsibilities will be:
Program/Initiative Coordination & Support
- Coordinate and assist in executing events such as the Centre of Excellence Speaker Series and Research Symposium, handling communications, logistics, schedules, vendors, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure event delivery.
- Assist in meeting coordination by preparing agendas, taking meeting notes, tracking action items, and monitoring progress toward strategic goals.
- Coordinating sessions, capturing inputs, tracking deliverables, and maintaining centralized documentation.
Data Collection & Reporting
- Coordinate data gathering efforts across teams and external stakeholders to support dashboard development, reporting, and decision-making.
- Compile and draft impact reports, feedback summaries, and data snapshots for partners, districts, and public dissemination.
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in reporting processes across initiatives.
Process Improvement & Communication
- Support implementation of communication plans through content development, distribution, and monitoring.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements by collecting feedback, documenting recommendations, and facilitating training sessions.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures for compliance with fiscal guidelines.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Required Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in a related area (e.g. business administration, communications, arts.) and,
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related area (e.g. administration, program coordination, operations, or data analysis, stakeholder engagement).
- Proficiency in data tools (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Microsoft Teams.).
- Experience working and maintaining digital platforms (including website content management, application support, and user interface updates).
Nice to have:
- Project Management training.
- Experience or understanding of the structure of the education system.
- Knowledge of MS Project, or other project and portfolio management software (e.g., Power BI).
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
Pay Band 3 - $46,514 - $74,360 annually.
Work environment:
