Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Education and Outreach, the Education and Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering ASNB programs, education and outreach initiatives that align with our mission. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, creative educator, and experienced facilitator who excels at engaging diverse audiences. The position involves regular travel throughout the province to lead programs, engage with communities, and strengthen partnerships.

The ideal candidate will enthusiastically support the vision and mission of ASNB and possess the personal qualities of integrity and credibility. They will have the proven ability to work within teams to accomplish multiple tasks and keep multiple projects organized and progressing. The position requires substantial effort to connect with, build community relations with, and engage targeted audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate ASNB programs such as Caregiver Support Networks, Minds in Motion®, Memory Café, presentations, and community outreach events provincially
  • Develop and design program resources, presentation materials, and support digital content tailored to diverse audiences
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to promote programs, events, and outreach initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, volunteers and facilitators
  • Represent the ASNB at conferences, community fairs, and stakeholder meetings to increase visibility and engagement
  • Collect and analyze data related to support program and outreach activities; prepare reports to assess program impact and support grant writing efforts
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with community partners, facilitators, and volunteer
  • Collaborate with Federation Partners and represent New Brunswick on National Working Groups and strategic initiatives
  • Support general administrative tasks as needed to contribute to the overall success of ASNB's mission and operations
  • Travel regionally to deliver programs and participate in outreach events, including occasional evenings and weekends as required

Qualifications:

  • Must be bilingual in French and English. Unilingual candidates will not be considered
  • A 2-yr diploma in health, social services field an/or education
  • Relevant experience in the field of education, social work, community services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience in the nonprofit or charitable sector is preferred
  • Experience in group facilitation, public presentations, community programing and events
  • Community awareness with the ability to build trusting relationships with community partners
  • Must embody the vision and values of the ASNB
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with databases
  • Proficient in Zoom and Microsoft programs
  • Sensitive to the impact of Alzheimer's disease on the individual and the family
  • Must be approachable, have solid communication skills and a warm positive attitude with active listening skills
  • Experience working with diverse communities and a commitment to equity and inclusion
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office
  • Possess a valid NB driver's license and be available to travel within the region
